Stores Update

Craig McKenzie is now in place as our new Stores Manager. There is a four week overlap with Rob, whose final day in role is 5th August. I am sure all will join with me in welcoming Criag to the club and in giving him our support in getting up to speed with the extensive range of Siddeley cars. Later in the year we hope to appoint an apprentice to work with Craig.

The opening times for the Stores are Monday 1pm to 4pm. Tuesdays 10am to 4pm, and Wednesdays 1pm to 4pm, (except bank holidays).

The club Stores online shop has been overhauled and many new items added. The search functions and descriptions have been greatly improved to help you find the parts by car model. There is also a ‘Stock List’ that lists everything in the shop by part number. Almost 5000 lines are now available online. For many years a quantity of body and mechanical parts bought in 1972 have never been listed in our stock system. I am currently working through these and adding them. Where we have excess stock, this will be discounted to the first few buyers. Look out for items yet to be posted under ‘New In’. In the meantime, do have a look at what we have for your car or cars. There are quite a few small items listed that might surprise you.

To improve the shop further we need to get more pictures added. It is quite a simple thing to do, take the picture of the part and upload it from the same device, but the quantity makes it a big task. It would be great if some member or members, or members of their family, could volunteer to come in to Stores on a Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday to help progress this.
