A Great Centenary Rally

Car Line

Now that our Centenary Run from Bamburgh Castle to Kenilworth Castle, the receptions in Kenilworth and Coventry and Centenary Rally in the War Memorial Park, Coventry is over, complete with flypast of the Avro Lancaster, I want to say a big thank you to all those who have been involved in the organising of it all.

We have to thank the many visiting sphinxes: from ASOC Dutch, ASCC Australia, members and friends from many European countries, North America and India and who could forget the resident Sphinx who appeared to imply that all diners were akin to pop-up toasters! (Full story to appear later.)

The support for the weekend display in Bamburgh Castle was overwhelming, driving to York and on to Coventry was pleasant, if a little warm. The Coventry War Memorial Park had 103 cars on it,
and we far exceeded our target for visitors, in some-way because of the coverage by the local radio.

I hope you all got home safely. Perhaps we will see you all at the NEC in November?

Keep Calm and carry on Siddeleying.
